Audit Objectives: Building a Strong Foundation Your team will gain a clear, structured understanding of the audit process, key objectives, and critical decision points. They’ll learn when and how to apply transaction and balance tests efficiently. Accounting Data Analytics (ADA): A Must-Have Skill This module introduces your staff to data-driven decision-making, giving them hands-on experience applying analytics to real-world client scenarios. Working Paper Techniques: Reducing Errors & Increasing Efficiency New staff will review and critique cash working papers, identify common mistakes, and learn best practices for accuracy and efficiency—including the benefits of electronic working papers. Analytical Procedures: Strengthening Risk Assessment Participants will develop the skills to apply analytical procedures effectively, using case studies to spot red flags and assess risk with confidence. Compilation & Review Services: Understanding Responsibilities This session breaks down the differences between compilations, reviews, and audits, ensuring your team understands levels of assurance, required procedures, and GAAP-compliant financial statement preparation. Tax Recognition & Research: Identifying Risks & Opportunities New staff will sharpen their ability to recognize tax implications for small and mid-sized clients. Using case studies, they’ll practice conducting basic tax research to support compliance and planning. Auditing & Reviewing Accounts: Improving Accuracy & Effectiveness Your team will build expertise in auditing key balance sheet accounts, including A/R, A/P, and notes payable. Small-group case studies reinforce practical strategies for gathering and evaluating evidence efficiently.
