Daniel is a Director in Protiviti’s Technology Risk & Resiliency solution. Daniel has 12 years of experience in building and assessing Technology and Information Security Risk programs, assessing technical controls using frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and helping IT and Security executives understand and prioritize risk treatment efforts. Daniel is a frequent speaker and instructor on IT risk management and cyber risk assessment topics. Daniel also leads Protiviti's Cyber Risk Quantification (CRQ) team, which helps organizations use quantitative risk analysis techniques to express enterprise-level technology risks and cybersecurity in financial terms, and better prioritize planned technology controls. He has also worked in industry with Fortune 500-size manufacturing firms in Internal Audit in financial and IT audit capacities, and performed IT general and application controls audits for SOX compliance.
