Will Dorsa is an Audit Partner at Grassi and brings over fifteen years of accounting experience to the firm. Will works with clients primarily within the Construction and Architecture & Engineering industries, and utilizes his expertise in financial statement audits & reviews, merger & acquisition due diligence and construction project audits to help clients with their financial goals and objectives. Will holds The Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP®) designation, which is the only accounting certification for construction financial professionals accredited by the American National Standards Institute. Will serves as the Construction Contractors Committee Chairperson for the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Prior to joining Grassi, Will worked for a global financial services firm as a Financial Advisor. In his role, Will assisted his clients with cash flow management, retirement planning, asset management and insurance. Will was recognized by Long Island Business News with a 40 Under 40 award in 2022. He earned his Bachelors in Finance from Iona College, and his Masters in Accounting from Hofstra University.

Brian Nuzio is a partner in the Firm’s Assurance Services division and has extensive experience in reviewing and analyzing financial information for construction contractors, architects, engineers and consumer and industrial products corporations. As a trusted advisor, Brian helps clients develop strategies that lead to sound financial decision-making. As a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP), he is knowledgeable in troubleshooting problem job performance for construction projects and recommending practices to enhance profitability. Brian is a frequent contributor to industry organizations and publications on accounting and auditing matters for construction companies as well as professional development courses.

For more than 20 years, Geri A. Gregor, CPA has been helping organizations successfully address their financial challenges. She draws on her diverse experience as in-house CFO/COO, outside consultant, and within accounting firms to provide businesses with a clear understanding of their operations and finances. Geri has worked with organizations of all types, and has a long track record with the Construction, Not-for-Profit, and Government sectors including companies ranging in size from $5 Million to $150 Million in revenue. Her commitment to helping businesses goes beyond financial advice. Through a partnership with the Velez Organization, Geri provides training and financial guidance to Minority, Women and Local Business Enterprises (MWLBEs) through the New York City School Construction Agency’s Mentor Technical Assistance Program (MTAP). Active in the financial and business community, Geri currently serves on the Board of Directors of Professional Women in Construction and the Educational Assistance Corporation (EAC) Network. She is a member of the AICPA, the New York State Society of CPAs, and the Business Owners Advisory Council of Long Island (Empowering Female Entrepreneurs Committee). Her philanthropic activities include positions as past Board Member and Treasurer of the ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York, which is a free, award-winning, afterschool program designed to attract high school students into pursuing careers in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering industry. A lifetime member of Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Geri also served as a board member for many years and the Co-Chairperson of their 100th Year Gala.

Mr. Reilly is a senior vice president at American Global, who works with national and international contractor clients. He brings over 30 years of legal and surety underwriting expertise, providing strategic surety solutions to contractors throughout North America. His expertise comprises surety and other forms of performance security on projects, including significant experience with alternative project delivery methods as well as public private partnerships (P3s) and other large design-build procurements. Prior to joining American Global, Mr. Reilly was a senior vice president and surety leader with the construction group of a large global broker. He began his surety career with Chubb and, over the next 20 years, spent time in various surety underwriting and legal roles. For over a decade, he has been involved in providing surety solutions, including P3 bonds with liquidity components on some of the largest P3 and design-build request-for-proposal project procurements in North America. Mr. Reilly is a graduate of New York University with a bachelor of science in economics and earned a juris doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Christopher Kelly, CPA, is an Accounting and Audit Partner at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP and a member of the Firm’s Architecture & Engineering and Construction Industry Groups. Chris has more than 14 years of experience advising clients on complex audit and tax matters as well as accounting systems and other financial matters. With an extensive background in both individual and corporate tax matters for closely held businesses, Chris works with his clients to ensure their tax strategies align with the business’s short and long term goals. His expertise extends beyond traditional compliance services, allowing him to counsel clients not only on tax matters, but on ways in which to improve their business model and increase efficiencies in both management and operations. Chris is a native of the Philadelphia area and a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania. Chris began his career at a regional firm in the Philadelphia area before joining Anchin in 2003. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the Construction Finance Management Association (CFMA), and the Westchester County Association (WCA). Chris is also the President of the New York City Surety Association in 2020.

Nicole is a Commercial Audit Manager with over 10 years of experience in public accounting. She has a broad range of experience in various industries including architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate. Nicole is often recognized for her client service and leadership skills. In addition to client responsibilities, Nicole is also actively involved in the Firm’s CARE Committee where she has led various firm-wide events. She is also deeply involved in the firm’s mentorship program where she plays an active role in the recruiting, development, and training processes and is a key member of Anchin Women’s Initiative Network (AWIN). Nicole attends various Subcontractor Trade Association (STA), Women Builders Council (WBC), and Professional Women in Construction (PWC) events in order to broaden and strengthen her network. She is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).

Stephen M. Cerruto is a senior manager in the Tax & Business Services department in the Firm’s Melville office, providing tax, accounting and consulting services to businesses and individuals. He advises clients in many different industries, with a primary focus in the construction and real estate industries, privately held businesses, and their owners. After beginning his career in financial statement audit, Mr. Cerruto switched his focus to taxation and has spent the majority of his career understanding and interpreting taxation code and how to apply it in the most advantageous manner for his clients. Thanks to unique experiences in his career, he has a strong foundation in understanding the tax code, its impacts, and visualizing five steps ahead of a transaction to understand the ripple effect of a given decision. Mr. Cerruto shares this knowledge with his co-workers, giving internal training on technical issues, as well as speaking at events for various groups in the construction industry. He has been a contributor to Marcum’s Year-End Tax Guide and has been involved in the AICPA’s CPA Evolution Initiative, a program to transform the CPA licensure model to match today’s rapidly changing role of the CPA.

Erik Ortmann has more than 25 years of experience representing private and public owners, municipalities, general contractors, construction managers, design professionals, trade contractors and suppliers with respect to all aspects of construction law. In addition to representing these entities in litigation and arbitration matters, Mr. Ortmann drafts and negotiates contracts, addresses compliance issues, and provides advice on a daily basis. His experience includes representing parties in the bridge, heavy highway and vertical building industries. Mr. Ortmann is also certied by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED® Green Associate.

Art leads Grant Thornton’s Metro region Tax Controversy Services practice handling federal and state tax audits, representing clients before the IRS and state tax departments, and conducts settlement conferences and tax appeals hearings. Art specializes in all areas of state and local taxation with an emphasis on multi-state corporate income, partnership flow-through issues and sales and transactions taxes for diverse client groups including asset management, financial services, retail and manufacturing, and construction. Art has experience advising companies with complex planning and restructurings, and analyzing existing operational tax requirements for clients of the Firm. Art was a Law Clerk with the New York State Tax Appeals Tribunal and has over 24 years of public accounting experience at Grant Thornton, KPMG LLP and Deloitte.

Mark L. Stone is the Managing Partner of Sales Tax Defense LLC since 2006. The firm specializes in Sales and Use Taxes. Mark's work as a New York State Tax auditor as well as a Tax Manager/Principle at several prominent accounting firms over the past 30 years has earned himm a reputation as one of the top professionals for multi-state Sales and Use Taxes. He is a frequently invited by various organizations to speak on Sales & Use Tax issues and serves as an Expert witness testifying in tax court on behalf of clients Mark was also an adjunct professor at Long Island University C.W. Post.

Carl Oliveri is the Construction Practice Leader and a partner at Grassi. He has over 25 years of experience advising owners and executives in the Construction industry, particularly in project-centric and companywide financial modeling, operational strategy development, financial statement accounting services and income tax method analysis. This extensive industry experience allows him to provide insight and advice to construction clients on marketplace trends and best practices. Carl’s thought leadership in the industry is well-established. He has been a featured speaker at national construction conferences hosted by prestigious associations like the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Construction Industry CPAs and Consultants (CICPAC). His influence extends across the Metropolitan area, where he has presented at events organized by the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) Construction Conference and various trade associations. Additionally, he has published articles on a wide range of contemporaneous issues impacting the construction community. Carl is the Chairperson of the Construction Financial Management Association’s (CFMA) National Emerging Issues and a member of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers CPA Advisory Board. Before that, he served as a member of the Executive Committee of CICPAC, currently serving as the Thought Leader Committee chair. Matthew McCullough, EA is a Tax Controversy Principal at Grassi. He works across a variety of industries including but not limited to Construction, Architecture & Engineering, Manufacturing & Distribution, Real Estate, and Not-For Profit. Matthew is proficient in tax audits for the IRS, New York State, New Jersey, Connecticut, California, Florida, Texas, and many others. His areas of specialty include sales tax audits, franchise tax audits, corporate tax audits, individual tax audits, Department of Labor audits, and NYSIF audits. Matthew and his team also conduct SALT nexus reviews for taxpayers to ensure they are in compliance with the new Wayfair rules. Prior to joining Grassi, Matthew spent four years in private industry as a Tax Manager. Matthew was also in the Corporate Tax Department at a Big Four firm for five years as well. Matthew was responsible for all functions of the tax department. As a Tax Controversy Principal, Matthew successfully assists clients with serious tax issues and IRS notification issues and has significantly helped reduce their financial liabilities. Matthew is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and the National Organization of Enrolled Agents. Matthew lead’s the firm’s effort in the donation of toys to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Toy drive. Matthew received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fairfield University. William E. Fischer is a Partner at Grassi. He began his career in 1988 and has focused his efforts on providing in-depth business and management consulting in addition to auditing, accounting and tax planning. Bill works with a broad range of industries including construction, real estate development companies, manufacturing, professional service, and not-for-profit. Bill has represented clients with commercial and residential development projects. His experience involves providing consulting services to both the developers and the construction contractors. In addition, Bill works with both the private and public sector in high level capacities providing forensic accounting, litigation support and expert testimony. Bill is considered one of the foremost experts in the country for construction finance. Bill uses his comprehensive knowledge and innovative ideas to educate clients, sureties, banks and other professionals on a variety of subjects and has authored numerous articles on cash flow and budgeting, internal operating efficiencies, profit enhancement strategies and claims consulting. Bill also teaches a Construction Finance course in the Construction Administration Master’s Program at Columbia University. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). To stay abreast of the current issues facing our clients, Bill stays active in numerous industry trade associations such as the Subcontractors Trade Association (STA), Queens & Bronx Building Association (QBBA) and the New York Building Congress where served on the membership committee. In addition, he was asked to serve on the Finance and Insurance Advisory Committee of the New York City Buildings Department. John F. Martin, CPA/PFS, CFP®, is a tax partner with over 37 combined years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services to a variety of clients including, multi-national corporations, closely-held companies and individuals. John joined Dannible & McKee in 2007, bringing with him extensive knowledge and experience from working at an international accounting firm. He has vast experience in individual and corporate tax planning, financial planning, multi-state taxation, research & development and cost segregation studies. John is also the partner-in-charge of the firm’s tax recruiting efforts.
