Study: Millennial Women Know More About Finance Than They Think They Do

Choosing a direction

A new study has found that, while fewer millennial women than millennial men think they "completely understand" financial and insurance terms, the women actually answer financial questions correctly more often than the men, according to The Business Journals.  The study, conducted by MarketStrategies, found that 17 percent of millennial women said they completely understand financial and insurance terms, compared to 34 percent of millennial men. But when tested on their knowledge of these terms, millennial women selected the correct answer 33 percent of the time, compared to 24 percent of men.

The study also found that when seeking information about  financial products and investments, 38 percent of millennial women turn to family, friends and colleagues, while 38 percent of millennial men go to YouTube.
