An entire village in Sweden is for sale at the price of a cool $7 million, said CNBC. The 300-year-old town of Satra Brunn is built around a natural spring, whose water was said to have medicinal properties. It soon became a sort of resort town, with wellness travelers coming from all over the country, some even setting up summer homes there. It was eventually sold to a bishop in 1740, who then sold it to a college a few years later, which then sold it in 2002 to a group of 16 local entrepreneurs, who have since operated the village as a spa and events venue. So, technically, you won't be buying a piece of actual sovereign territory but, rather, the resort that's built on it. The entire town, and all its real estate, is incorporated as a limited company, meaning there's no restrictions on foreign buyers either. So, if you've got $7 million laying around (though given recent economic news, that might be fewer of you than before), and always wanted to start a new venture, maybe buying a Swedish resort town is for you. If anything, it certainly seems better than Schitt's Creek.
