Proposal Would Allow Older CPAs to Designate Themselves "Retired CPAs"

While they would no longer have a specific CPE requirement, the Retired CPA would still need to maintain professional competency should they offer any of the permited volunteer services, and would have to agree that they will not use this designation in any way that could be considered misleading. They would also need to affirm they understand the scope of limitations on what services they can offer.
