U.S. Business Executives Temper Strong Optimism on Economy, AICPA Survey Finds

NEW YORK (June 1, 2017) – Business executives are taking a more conservative view of what had been bullish optimism about both the U.S. economy and prospects for their own companies earlier this year, according to the second-quarter AICPA Economic Outlook Survey, which polls chief executive officers, chief financial officers, controllers and other certified public accountants in U.S. companies who hold executive and senior management accounting roles.

NEW YORK (June 1, 2017) – The American Institute of CPAs’ (AICPA) Assurance Research Advisory Group (ARAG) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for research that addresses assurance topics of interest to the CPA profession. Insights gleaned from the research will support the private company standard-setting process, as well as the AICPA’s Enhancing Audit Quality (EAQ) initiative.
