To Promote AI Innovation, PwC Expands Engineering Career Path

On Jan. 21, PwC US said that it is starting its new engineering career path. According to the firm, this move formalizes and expands an engineering-first approach that has been built and proven in the firm for several years.
“This career path reflects what’s already true across PwC—engineers are essential, and central to how we deliver outcomes for clients,” noted Matt Hobbs, Cloud, Engineering, Data & AI (CEDA) Platform leader, PwC US.
PwC said that this path was established to "strengthen the AI-native solutions delivered to clients." It supports the firm's strategy to engineer outcomes by advising on, developing, and growing technology solutions that assist organizations in modernizing quickly while unlocking AI's value, as well as achieving measurable business impact.
Organizations are experiencing increased pressure to modernize legacy systems and to scale AI in a responsible manner while offering value quickly. In this vein, PwC said that it is establishing its existing engineering capabilities while further investing in the talent and solutions that bring these innovations to fruition.
This career path offers market-aligned titles, expanded development opportunities, and various routes for advancement. It also supports both deep technical mastery and leadership so that engineers can establish secure, scalable, and outcome-driven solutions aligned to the business priorities of the firm's clientele.
According to PwC, it will launch Engineer Your Career to support this strategy. The program is an immersive early identification experience for college juniors. By creating more opportunities for engineers at all levels, the firm is positioning itself to be considered as an employment opportunity for top engineering talent. It also reinforces engineering as a growth engine for the firm as well as its clients.
