Two AICPA Committees Share Proposed Strategic Plans

undefined

Two senior technical committees at the AICPA have shared their proposed strategic plans for 2027 to 2030 and are asking members and other stakeholders to share their feedback by Aug. 31, according to the Journal of Accountancy.

The Peer Review Board (PRB) and the Professional Ethics Executive Committee (PEEC) created these plans. Both groups are key to upholding professional standards in accounting.

The PRB runs the AICPA Peer Review Program, which helps firms check and improve the quality of their accounting and auditing work. PEEC, the main ethics committee, manages the Code of Professional Conduct and encourages ethical behavior among members.

To get input from the public, both committees have shared discussion papers with seven questions. They want to hear what stakeholders think about future priorities and goals. The feedback will help shape each committee’s plans for the next three years.

The PRB asks anyone interested to send comments through an online survey or by emailing the committee. PEEC also welcomes feedback by email at its exposure draft address.
