Nassau/Suffolk Chapter Merger Announcement
By Alyssa Schenider
Nassau/Suffolk Chapter President
We’re thrilled to announce that, effective June 1, 2025, the Nassau and Suffolk Chapters will officially unite to become the Nassau/Suffolk Chapter!
This exciting step forward reflects our shared vision for a more vibrant, efficient and engaging chapter experience for all our members. With so many of our members living in one county and working in the other, this merger just makes sense—and it eliminates any confusion about where to get involved.
Our two chapters have long collaborated on events, shared resources, and supported one another’s initiatives. By joining forces, we’re building on that strong foundation and setting the stage for even more impactful programming, deeper engagement and stronger volunteer leadership.
Each chapter brings unique strengths to the table—whether it’s Nassau’s dynamic NextGen network or Suffolk’s thriving Employee Benefits Committee. Together, we’ll be stronger, more diverse and better equipped to serve our members’ needs.
We’re also excited to share the leadership team for the 2025-26 fiscal year:
- Alyssa Schneider, President
- Anthony Perrone, President-elect
- Franco Martorana, Vice President
- Rebecca Brodsky Layer, Secretary
- Robert Huether, Past President
Directors-at-Large: Michael Burstein, William Huether, Vivian Jin, Alex Resnick, Natalie Verbanac, John Spatola, Robert Young, Stephen Dagnell and Ernest Patrick Smith.
We’re excited for this next chapter, and we can’t wait to see all that we’ll accomplish together. Robert and I have recorded a short video (Passcode: bo*?v82Q) to provide some further details related to the merger and our Chapter going forward.
All our members are welcome to join us in this celebration.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding the merger, please do not hesitate to reach out to Robert Huether rhuether@estee.com or myself apopov@bdo.com.
