Mid Hudson Plans to Connect Members and Advance Careers

Mid Hudson Chapter President

As a new fiscal year approaches, I’m so excited to serve as the next president of the NYCPA Mid Hudson Chapter. I’m lucky to have served with and learned from some amazing volunteers over the years. These individuals have paved the way and it’s an honor to follow in their footsteps.

My days with the Society began in the NextGen Committee. I was a committee member for several years and served as chair. For me, being part of the NextGen Committee was a great way to get involved.

Our NextGen members are the future of our profession. Our chapter is committed to them and will continue to develop opportunities and events for them to start building successful careers.

We also look to build on our most popular events including our Banker Attorney CPA Networking Event and our Holiday Mixer. We’re always looking for new and exciting ways to engage our members through networking and CPE events.

We welcome any members interested in serving on the board or a committee. Our goal is to provide a collaborative environment where we can all learn and grow with each other. If you are interested in working with us or if there is anything we can do to provide value and improve your experience as a member, please let us know.

The Mid-Hudson Region is located north of New York City and south of Albany along the picturesque Hudson River, and includes Ulster, Dutchess, Sullivan, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester counties. It is a mix of urban areas, waterfront cities, rural villages, farmlands and forests.

The region is located in the epicenter of the Boston-Washington Corridor. More than thirty colleges and universities are located within the Mid-Hudson region. 

Businesses chose the Mid-Hudson for its educated workforce, proximity to marketplace and access to water. The Hudson Valley, with some of the world’s largest, most sophisticated technology and manufacturing companies – as well as Healthcare and Social Assistance and Retail Trade – is a great place to do business.
