Tim is an audit partner in the Department of Professional Practice of KPMG in New York City where he leads the investment management team. Tim is responsible for research and consultations of complex technical accounting and auditing matters and developing firm guidance and publications. Tim specializes in audit services for clients in the asset management industry, including registered investment advisers, registered investment companies, hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, fund of funds, offshore funds, and other alternative investments. Tim is continuously involved in assessing the impact of new and emerging professional guidance. Tim has also served on the AICPA’s Investment Companies Expert Panel. Prior to joining KPMG, Tim was the partner in charge of the quality control department of Rothstein Kass where he was responsible for the firm’s national compliance with accounting, auditing and professional standards.

Jeff is a Senior Manager in the Philadelphia office. Since joining National Office in October 2017, he spends approximately 50% of his time within the Investment Management IPPD group. His remaining time is split between serving year-round as a quality control reviewer on a large mutual fund complex and managing a variety of other investment management audit engagements. Over the past 15 years, Jeff has specialized in the investment management industry and has significant experience auditing a diverse group of publicly and privately held entities, including registered investment companies, hedge funds, private equity funds, fund-of-funds and broker-dealers. Additionally, he has a strong background in reviewing financial statements to ensure they meet the requirements of US GAAP, various SEC regulations and the 1940 Act requirements. Jeff graduated in 2003 from the Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Accounting and is a licensed CPA. When Jeff is not at work, he spends time with his wife and three kids, volunteers at church, and enjoys being out in nature.

Jim is an audit partner and the national professional practice director for the financial services industry audit practice. With over 25 years of public accounting experience, he has expertise in working with hedge funds, private equity funds, exchange traded funds, mutual funds, broker dealers, real estate investment trusts and investment advisors. In his role as national professional practice director, he consults with engagement teams on audit and accounting issues relating to financial services clients and performs certain quality and risk management activities for the practice.
