Bernadette Kasnicki, Associate, Farrell Fritz, P.C., represents not-for-profit corporations and tax-exempt entities in all stages, from formation to dissolution. Additionally, she advises clients in connection with corporate, estate and gift, and individual tax planning, and is experienced in both state and local and federal tax issues and controversy. Bernadette serves as the Vice President on the board of directors of a local not-for-profit organization. She has been recognized for her pro bono work in the Long Island community, and previously received the Huntington Chamber of Commerce 30 Under 30 Award.

Louis Vlahos, Esq., partner, Farrell Fritz, where he leads the firm’s tax practice. He has extensive experience in corporate, partnership and individual income taxation, and in estate and gift taxation, including tax planning, ruling requests, and tax controversy. He advises clients in connection with corporate and partnership operations and reorganizations; sales and acquisitions of businesses and real estate; shareholder and operating agreements; executive and deferred compensation arrangements; estate and succession planning; tax-exempt organizations. Lou has been recognized in NY Super Lawyers — Tax, was a finalist in the 2014 New York Smart CEO CPA & ESQ Awards (attorney of the year category), and received the Lawyers Alliance for New York’s Cornerstone Award for his pro bono activities. He has written for various legal publications. Lou received his LL.M. in taxation from New York University, after he received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. He graduated with an A.B. magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia College.
