Anthony J. Enea, Esq. is the managing partner of Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP with offices in White Plains and Somers, New York. For almost forty (40) years, Mr. Enea has devoted his practice to educating and protecting the rights of seniors, the disabled and their families from the costs of long-term care and estate taxes. Mr. Enea and his firm concentrate their practice on Elder Law, Asset Protecting Planning, Special Needs Planning, Medicaid Applications (Nursing Home and Home Care), Guardianships (contested/non-contested) and Wills, Trusts and Estates. He is the author of hundreds of published articles and a frequent lecturer to seniors, the disabled, attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors, with respect to the planning options available to seniors. For decades Mr. Enea’s articles have been published in such publications as the New York State Bar Journal, the Trusts and Estates, Elder Law, General Practice Law and Elder Law Journal for the New York State Bar Association, the Westchester County Business Journal and the Westchester County Bar Journal and these articles have been published in such publications as “Generations”, “60 Plus”, the Westchester County Business Journal, Westchester County Bar Newsletter and numerous other publications. Mr. Enea is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation as accredited by the American Bar Association*. He is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the New York State Bar Association as a Vice-Chair of the Committee on the Elderly and Disabled. Mr. Enea is the Past President of the Westchester County Bar Foundation. Mr. Enea is the Past Chair of the Elder Law and Special Needs Section of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Enea is the Past Chair of the 50+ Section of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Enea is a Past President and a Founding Member of the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). He is also a member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners of NAELA. Mr. Enea is a Past President of the Westchester County Bar Association. Mr. Enea is a Board Member of the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County. Mr. Enea is the 2018 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and was the recipient of the Dr. Joseph A. Cimino Community Service Award from the Dominican Sisters and the Honorable Richard J. Daranco Distinguished Service Award from the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County. Mr. Enea is the founder of the Anthony J. Enea Elder Law Scholarship at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Mr. Enea has been selected as a Super Lawyer for the seventeenth consecutive year, and for 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 was selected as a Top 25 Super Lawyer in Westchester County. Lauren C. Enea, Esq. is a senior associate at Enea, Scanlan & Sirgnano, LLP. She concentrates her practice on Wills, Trusts and Estates, Medicaid Planning, Special Needs Planning and Probate/Estate Administration. She believes that it is never too early or too late to start planning for your future and enjoys working with individuals to ensure that their plan best suits their needs. An active member of the local bar associations, Ms. Enea was appointed to the Executive Committee of the Westchester County Bar Association (WCBA) Trusts and Estates Section. She is also the co-chair of the WCBA New Lawyers Section, treasurer of the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County, and chair of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Elder Law and Special Needs Section Publications Committee and co-editor of the NYSBA Elder Law and Special Needs Section Journal. She is a past co-chair of the NYSBA Elder Law and Special Needs Section 2020 Fall Meeting and the Elder Law and Special Needs Section 2022 Summer Meeting. Ms. Enea was awarded the Outstanding New Lawyer Award in 2020 by the Westchester County Bar Association. She was also named to the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Super Lawyers Rising Stars list and the 2023-2024 Best Lawyers Ones to Watch list. Ms. Enea was recognized at Westfair Communications' 2019 Millennial Awards. She is the president of CAREERS Support Solutions' Board of Directors, a non-profit helping individuals with disabilities obtain gainful employment in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess Counties, and a member of the Pace Women's Justice Center Advisory Board, Friends of Gail. Ms. Enea received a B.S. in Business Management from Quinnipiac University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and a J.D. from the Pace University School of Law, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She is admitted to practice law in New York and Florida.
