Bio
James Kantor, CPA, MS Taxation, is Head of Corporate Tax Planning at Advance Publications, Inc, a diversified media, communications, technology, and entertainment company with headquarters in New York City. Prior to joining Advance Publications, Inc., he was a partner at Paul Scherer & Company where he was responsible for tax planning, compliance and other tax matters for Advance Publications, Inc., and other clients. He is a member of the NYSSCPA and a member of the C Corporations committee and Taxation of Mergers and Acquisitions committee, in which he previously served as Chair. He has also been a speaker and moderator at numerous NYSSCPA tax seminars over the years. He is also a member of the AICPA and the AICPA tax section.
