Patrick Buono President and CEO of Aurora Computer Technology, Inc. Aurora Computer was started in May of 1987 by Mr Buono. Aurora Computer Technology, Inc is a computer consulting and support company providing professional IT solutions and support for small to medium size business, schools and not for profit organizations. Aurora Computer Technology, Inc is celebrating its 30th year of service. Over the years Mr Buono provided consulting for larger companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Proctor & Gamble, and GUND. Patrick developed custom accounting and database applications for many businesses such as custom accounts receivable and job cost programs. Of note the membership accounting application for the JCC of Staten Island and the Meal Recipient application for the Meals on Wheels of Staten Island Patrick supports accounting programs such as MAS 90, QuickBooks, and Peachtree as well as other third-party vertical applications such as tax preparation software. He is also a QuickBooks Advisor Patrick graduated in February of 1978 from Bernard Baruch College, CUNY with a BBA degree in Public Accounting He was employed as a public accountant for CPA firms until starting Aurora Computer Technology, Inc in 1987. Patrick started out helping small businesses computerize their accounting systems, then began to set up networks, expanded into WiFi networks and computer security for these clients. Aurora Computer Technology, In. has a large clientele of CPA firms for which it provides support. The past 10 years Mr Buono has been focusing on internet security and data protection for his clients. He has been identifying and assessing cyber security threats and protecting assets from cyber intrusions. Including planning for a response when a compromise occurs and implementing Backup Disaster Recovery (BDR) plan to restore lost data. He has given seminars on cybersecurity to CPA groups, SCORE, Staten Island Chamber of Commerce Guild. He has also been a panelist on cybersecurity for NY Law School.
